DAY 1:

DAY 2:

Murmansk city tour. During this excursion you will visit the main sights of the city (the Memorial to the sailors on submarines killed in peacetime, Temple of the Savior on the waters, the Lighthouse, Memorial «Kursk», Memorial to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic during the II World War, the monument "Waiting")


During this day you will visit the first atomic icebreaker "Lenin".


 "Lenin" is the world's first surface ship with a nuclear power plant. The icebreaker was built in the USSR, first of all, for servicing the Northern Sea Route. Now this is a unique ship-museum.


Transfer to the hotel. Free time. Rest.

21-22:00 Departure from Murmansk (depending on weather conditions, the excursion can be shifted to the other day)


The Northern Lights hunting route: Murmansk is one of the most perfect places to observe the Northern Lights.


Duration: 4-6 hours.


The length of the route: up to 200 km.


It is rightfully considered that the Northern Lights are one of the most astonishing and magnificent natural phenomena: it is hard to underestimate the beauty of the night sky colored in light green, pink and scarlet. The Kola Peninsula is considered the most advantageous place in Russia to observe the Northern Lights that usually appear in the sky from August to March. The lights are especially well visible far from the city, for example, on Peninsulas Rybachy and Sredny, in Teriberka, Lovozero and Hibiny. During the excursion you will be accompanied by a guide, who will tell you about the attractions of the Kola Peninsula.


DAY 3:


Leaving hotel rooms. Please take your luggage with you.


During this day you will learn about culture and life of the indigenous population of the Kola Peninsula, meet with a shaman and ride a sleigh for a snowmobile.


You will take part in:


- Acquaintance with culture and life of sami people, rite of sacrifice according to the ancient rite (please take 10 and/or 50 kopecks with you for that);


- Sami games: throwing a nyartal (lasso), saam pal (sami ball);


- Meeting with a northern deer: feeding, photographing and riding on a reindeer sleigh. Banana riding behind a snowmobile;


- Trying Ukha chai;


- Taking photos in national clothes;


- Purchase of national souvenir-amulets (400 rubles)


Please take with you the following: waterproof and warm clothes: jackets, trousers (not jeans); shoes without heels, mittens and gloves (necessarily!), cameras and cash for souvenirs (optional).


Arrival in Kirovsk, accommodation in a hotel. Rest.



The route: Murmansk - Teriberka - Murmansk.


09:30 Departure from Murmansk.


The Pomor village is located in the Kola district of Murmansk region on the bank of the Teriberka river. The first mention of Teriberka Stanovishche refers to approximately 1523 year. The famous movie of A. Zvyagintsev «Leviathan» was filmed at that place. The village is located 125 km away from Murmansk. During an excursion you will learn the history of Teriberka Stanovishche, its past and future! You would be able to see beautiful waterfall that carries its stormy waters to the ocean, take a trip "Thanks to GAZPROM", visit the Dragon Cave. You can also attend the filming locations and possibly meet people, who took part in mass filming themselves. You will see the cemetery of old wooden karbas sailboats, the former military aerodrome; the 1st weather station on Kola Peninsula that was founded in 1893, and many other attractions. (Some objects in winter time can be closed due to weather conditions).


Attention, please! Be sure to take cameras, waterproof and warm clothes, and trekking shoes!

DAY 4:

Leaving hotel rooms, carrying the luggage to the bus.


Sightseeing tour to the heart of the Kola Peninsula - Khibiny Mountains - with a guide. You will visit the museum of mineralogy and Kirovsk city, enjoy the views of the majestic Khibiny. Visit the amazing Snow Village! "Snow Village" is a resting-place for both adults and children. Once you get into snowy halls, the fairy tale will make you and other visitors a little kinder and let your heart melt. The huge building out of snow and ice placed on a snowy meadow is a true miracle that you need to see at least once in your life. Moreover, you can always test the joys of winter! The process of creation the Snow Village is no less exciting, but hidden from the eyes of ordinary visitors. Returning to Murmansk.


* For a comfortable departure, we recommend booking an extra day in the city and leaving on the fifth day.


It is possible to expand the program, in particular, visiting the Husky kennel with Husky riding.
