Hunting for the Northern Lights

What is the Northern Lights?

The Northern Lights is an amazing phenomenon of nature, a real pride of the Murmansk region. Thousands of tourists annually go to the North in the hope of seeing colorful flashes in the sky. Science provides many definitions of this process. If you adhere to strict formulations, then the Northern Lights (it’s the Aurora Borealis) is “the glow (luminescence) of the upper layers of the atmospheres of the planets with the magnetosphere due to their interaction with the charged particles of the solar wind”. That is, the color flashes in the sky are a direct result of the activity of the sun and solar activity.
